Home Sweet Home

I shifted (moved) today! I have my own humble abode! Two 9x9 bedrooms (without closets), 5x5 kitchen, 15x10 sitting/eating area, and bathroom. I have a bed to sleep on, a table to sit at and a love seat to relax on. The oven isn’t connected to the electrical system, the plug to the refrigerator needs an adaptor that I can’t purchased until I go into Livingstone and oh yeah…the geyser and shower still don’t work. Its home and I’m excited to be here.

The rooster is crowing outside even though it is lunchtime and a slight breeze is coming through the windows. I have a mango, a lemon and a pawpaw (?) tree in my yard. Sweet potatoes are planted in the back and are just about ready to harvest. (By the way, sweet potatoes are white but taste just like our orange sweet potatoes.) I want to plant a poinsettia tree…several are in bloom now and they are beautiful!

I’ve already received my first visitors, Claire (8 months pregnant) and a neighborhood child, Jennifer (I don’t know who Jennifer belongs to and she hasn’t learned English yet).

The container with my furniture and comforts should be here within two weeks and then I will really be able to get settled. It will be like Christmas!Enjoy the pictures and I’ll check in another day!
